Technology To Make Your Wedding Better

With so many new gadgets and technology hitting the market each day, many brides are interested in taking their wedding to the next level. With a little help from the world’s top manufacturers and programmers, there are plenty of great pieces of technology that will make your wedding better. However, it can be difficult to track down the right type of technology for your wedding if you don’t know what to look for, so we have put together a list of our three favorite items to make your search a little easier to complete.

Smartphone Cameras

Though this is the simplest piece of technology on the list, it is also one of the most powerful. With so many people walking around with a high quality camera in their pocket, it can really open up your options at your wedding. Some couples have gone as far as replacing their wedding photographer with their friends and family taking pictures with their phones, but the quality usually isn’t quite as good as a professional wedding photographer’s camera produces. You can optionally use this technique at your wedding reception in place of the old disposable cameras that many couples placed on each table for their guests to use.

MP3 Players

An MP3 player may seem like something from around a decade ago, but believe it or not there are still a lot of practical uses for this type of technology. Many couples choose to create their own playlist for the wedding reception rather than hiring a professional disc jockey. Not only does this save you a bunch of money, but it also allows you to choose the songs that you like the best. If you don’t have an old MP3 player laying around in a desk somewhere, you can optionally use a laptop so you don’t have to be without your Smartphone.

Sparkler Igniters

Believe it or not, there are a lot of couples out there who are using sparklers at their wedding. Many people just hand them out so their guests can light them, but there is a piece of technology that can take those sparklers to a whole new level. You can buy or rent a wireless ignition system that will light your sparklers with the click of a button. Essentially, you create a bunch of centerpieces made from wedding sparklers that are placed inside glass vases. Your wireless igniters attach to the tips of the sparklers, and when everyone enters the reception hall a designated person flips the switch and they all go off at the same time. This will create a spectacular light show for all of your wedding guests, and best of all it will catch them by complete surprise.

As you can see, technology’s reach has definitely gone into the weddings in a big way. Phones and tablet PCs have already made planning a wedding so much easier, so why not take that notion right into your actual celebration? With so many new gadgets, apps, and other pieces of technology coming out every single day, it won’t be too long before every wedding is filled with technological accoutrements.
